Road Transport Growth in Africa
Recently published in "Freight News" magazine, the article highlights how Rangel has been focusing on international road service on the African continent and the reasons why they have seen an increase in this type of service.

"The demand for road transport continues to grow throughout Southern Africa as customers realize the advantages of transporting goods across borders by road", said Tiago Pocinho, Country Manager for Rangel Logistics Solutions in South Africa and Zambia.

In the interview it is mentioned that currently, although the global health situation has normalized, exporters still feel the significant advantages of road transport, and as such, maintains its growth in detriment to air and sea transport - "This trend towards land transport allows the market to meet its need for 'just in time freight', which aims to maintain larger stocks to supply all possible needs (...) Road transport is increasingly the most desired option by customers, because it allows the cargo to reach its final destination faster", explained the responsible.

"In this sense, at Rangel we have been focusing more and more on corridors that are not so common, offering the necessary solutions to our customers. Thus allowing us to increase our routes between South Africa and Angola, as well as on routes to DRC and Tanzania", added tiago Pocinho.

Rangel has a strategic position on the African continent, being present in important borders for international trade, such as Angola, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania - "This way, we try to mitigate possible delays, using our freight forwarder that will ensure that all documentation is handled promptly, and pre-clear goods to speed up the passage of cargo through the borders", said the country manager for South Africa and Zambia.
