Considered the most important global event dedicated to International Trade and Customs Law, this meeting was particularly significant for Rangel, a pioneering company in Portugal in providing customs consultancy services, in a year in which it celebrates 45 years of activity.
Rangel Logistics Solutions supported the 17th World Customs Law Conference, held from September 3 to 5 at the Porto Customs Congress Center, bringing together experts, academics, and professionals from the sector from various countries.
Considered the most important global event dedicated to International Trade and Customs Law, this meeting was particularly significant for Rangel, a pioneering company in Portugal in providing customs consultancy services, in a year in which it celebrates 45 years of activity.
According to José Rijo, Country Manager of Eduardo Rangel Despachante Oficial, "This is the most important event related to International Trade and Customs Law held worldwide, and Rangel, a pioneer in Portugal in providing customs consultancy services, especially while celebrating 45 years of activity, could not remain indifferent to an event of this magnitude.”
The 17th World Customs Law Conference hosted around 300 delegates from 32 countries across three continents, who discussed central topics for the future of international trade. Key topics included sustainability and green trade, the application of artificial intelligence in customs controls, security, citizen protection, and the promotion of legitimate trade.
The event also featured discussions on the current international geopolitical context, characterized by rising tariffs, efforts to combat unfair competitive practices, the enforcement of sanctions, and the strengthening of export controls—factors associated with the so-called "trade wars”.
The conference was co-organized by the Portuguese Association of Customs Brokers, the International Academy of Customs Law, and SPCAA, and included the presence of the Prime Minister at the closing ceremony, highlighting the institutional and strategic importance of the event.
Through this support, Rangel Logistics Solutions reaffirms its commitment to knowledge sharing, the development of the customs sector, and the strengthening of sustainable international trade.
