Rangel joins forces with Bosch to promote Sustainable Mobility with 100% Renewable Fuels
Rangel Logistics Solutions, in partnership with Bosch, has started operating vehicles powered by 100% renewable fuels, such as biomethane and HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), in its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and promoting greener transport solutions.  This partnership comes as part of the innovative pilot projects launched by Bosch in Portugal, with the aim of boosting decarbonisation in heavy goods transport.

‘The HVO transport solution, a more sustainable and environmentally responsible fuel option, will allow us to reinforce our commitment to sustainable mobility in the transport chain, allowing supply and collection flows in urban areas, in Braga, with a reduction of up to 90 per cent in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared to fuel of mineral origin,’ said Nuno Ramalho, Managing Director of the Contract Logistics unit at Rangel Logistics Solutions.

Rangel has a robust and capable fleet (EURONORM 6), with sustainable fuels and cutting-edge technological solutions (e-lockers), guaranteeing a top quality, environmentally friendly and digitally secure fleet.

The initiative reflects Rangel's vision of aligning itself with the best sustainability and innovation practices in the sector, while also strengthening Bosch's commitment to clean mobility. This partnership represents another step in the development of more sustainable supply chains, and the use of renewable fuels has shown positive results in maintaining vehicle performance and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

‘We need innovative and practical solutions to improve sustainability in transport,’ says Luísa Barboza, Project Lead Sustainable Logistics at Bosch. ‘Partnerships like this are beneficial, allowing us to gain experience with alternative fuels that maintain performance and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.’

Rangel thus promotes its commitment to greener logistics, collaborating with Bosch to create a more sustainable future in freight transport and actively contributing to the protection of the environment.
